Health benefits from physical activity include avoiding premature death.

Physical activity helps with strength, endurance, flexibility and helps you perform normal daily activities easier and with less pain. Improves your immune system, lowers symptoms of anxiety and depression, improves mood. sleep quality, and releases endorphins.

Less risk of chronic disease like heart disease, certain cancers, type 2 diabetes, hypertension. and osteoporosis.

How much daily activity is recommended for a healthy adult? 150 minutes each week

On average less than 25% of American adults meet these exercise recommendations.

When muscle fibers contract they shorten causing movement, this movement of these skeletal muscles builds and strengthen these fibers which provide shape, support, and movement.

Tendons connect muscles to bones and ligaments hold the bones together in the joints.

Cardiorespiratory fitness

Muscular strength

Flexibility
